Home Game Responsibilities of ALL TEAMS
Last weekend saw the Mustangs host their first games of the season. While most things went according to plan, and an enjoyable day was had by all participants, the committee just need to remind all teams of their gameday responsibilities.
As we are a smaller club, we do rely on assistance from all participants in the setup and pulldown of fields.
Any team that has a 9.00am game kick-off is requested to provide volunteers to complete the field setup (normally 30 mins is ample).
If you are the last team on a nominated field, you are requested to complete field pull down.
Committee members will be on hand if you need any assistance or guidance, however we do request your participation on this matter.
Committee Member Changes
The past few weeks have seen some significant changes to the Mustangs Football Club Committee.
Unfortunately during this time we have lost two key members of our Committee, with our Club President – Adrian Leopardi, and our Coaching Co-Ordinator – Nathan O’Dwyer, stepping aside from their nominated positions.
While both Adrian and Nathan will remain involved with the club, we are extremely grateful for the time and efforts that both have put into their respective roles, with the club being in a stronger position due to their hard work and efforts. We wish them both every success in the future.
Coaching and Coaching Courses
One goal of the Mustangs committee moving forward is the ongoing requirement of our club to strengthen its coaching ranks. While we are extremely grateful to those that offer to assist, we understand that many offers of assistance come from those with little or no football training. We are currently looking into ways to assist parents who become involved at a grass roots level, to progress with the players and work through the various FFA coaching recommendations. This will see all participants receiving higher quality coaching, attract new members to the club, all of which will in time transfer into a much stronger football club for all.
Stage one of this change is via the rescheduled coaching course provided below.
U6-U8 MFA MiniRoos FREE Coaching Course – Monday 8th April – Wandarrah Reserve 6.00pm Start (rescheduled due to weather)
This is a free coaching course designed to introduce Mustang coaches to FFA training techniques.
The course covers many areas, including how to structure a training session, and setting season goals.
Please ensure that any attendees are registered prior to the night.
