The Mt Annan Mustangs have adopted the Football Australia MEMBER PROTECTION FRAMEWORK: NATIONAL COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE in handling complaints.

The Complaints Procedure is intended to deal with member protection matters such as discrimination, bullying, harassment and abuse in football (other than Child abuse or abuse of an At Risk Adult.)

The Complaints Procedure is not intended to deal with disputes outside Football Australia’s Member Protection Framework, such as whether a player should have been selected for a particular team, an on-field disciplinary matter under the National/State/Local Association Disciplinary Regulations, such as a red card for a poor tackle, or a disagreement with how a Competition Administrator has applied its local competition rules.

A flowchart is provided for members to follow below:

For more information, contact the Club’s Member Information Protection Officer at MPIO@mtannanmustangs.com.au who can provide advice and/or complaint forms, and visit the Football Australia website, at https://www.footballaustralia.com.au/member-protection/complaints-procedure

Perimeter Fencing to Wandarrah Reserve – Voting closes 15th August
Service NSW is offering local community groups the chance to gain some much needed funding for projects.
The Mt Annan Mustangs have raised a community project to provide a secure perimeter boundary to Wandarrah Reserve, and prevent the continuous damage to the playing surface from trail bikes/motor vehicles.
Any one in the Camden electorate is eligible to have a vote on how council funds are spent.
To vote, go to the Service NSW projects page (https://mycommunityproject.service.nsw.gov.au/projects)
Select an Electorate of Camden, and a listing of all the local projects should appear.
Login with your Service NSW account, select a shortlist of 3 projects and then cast your vote.
The more votes we get, the more chance the club has of gaining some much needed fencing.

Training Reminder
As we are deep into the season, and our grounds are starting to show signs of wear and tear, can all team officials please refrain from doing lap training in the goal mouths. We have acres of clear training paddock to run your teams, please use the free space, not the space contained within the 18 yard boxes.

Mustang Home Game Responsibilities
The committee would like to thank everyone in the club for playing their part in last weekends home games.
We had a number of helpers across every aspect of the day, from BBQ/Canteen, to field setup and pull down.
We appreciate the effort that everyone has put in, and a great day was enjoyed by all.

Club Photos
Due to some teams still placing orders for socks/shorts/shirts, the committee have made the decision to postpone the club photos.
This decision should allow all teams to receive, and be wearing their full playing gear at the time of the photos.

Committee Member Changes
The committee would like to welcome and congratulate Michele Mclear, who has stepped into the vacant position of Mustangs Club President.
We wish Michele every success and look forward to her input and assistance on all club matters.

Merchandise
The committee have taken delivery and distributed all items of clothing that were part of the original registration order (7th March).
We are now working through all subsequent adhoc orders. However preference will be given to the oldest and paid orders first.
Unfortunately we are only receiving items in small batches from Legea, but we will arrange pickup from Wandarrah Reserve when items become available.

Training Equipment
We have recently taken delivery of a number of items (balls/cones), and wish to distribute these out to teams.
If your squad is still awaiting any training items, can you please advise so we can address.

General Club News

Home Game Responsibilities of ALL TEAMS
Last weekend saw the Mustangs host their first games of the season. While most things went according to plan, and an enjoyable day was had by all participants, the committee just need to remind all teams of their gameday responsibilities.
As we are a smaller club, we do rely on assistance from all participants in the setup and pulldown of fields.
Any team that has a 9.00am game kick-off is requested to provide volunteers to complete the field setup (normally 30 mins is ample).
If you are the last team on a nominated field, you are requested to complete field pull down.
Committee members will be on hand if you need any assistance or guidance, however we do request your participation on this matter.

Committee Member Changes
The past few weeks have seen some significant changes to the Mustangs Football Club Committee.
Unfortunately during this time we have lost two key members of our Committee, with our Club President – Adrian Leopardi, and our Coaching Co-Ordinator – Nathan O’Dwyer, stepping aside from their nominated positions.
While both Adrian and Nathan will remain involved with the club, we are extremely grateful for the time and efforts that both have put into their respective roles, with the club being in a stronger position due to their hard work and efforts. We wish them both every success in the future.

Coaching and Coaching Courses
One goal of the Mustangs committee moving forward is the ongoing requirement of our club to strengthen its coaching ranks. While we are extremely grateful to those that offer to assist, we understand that many offers of assistance come from those with little or no football training. We are currently looking into ways to assist parents who become involved at a grass roots level, to progress with the players and work through the various FFA coaching recommendations. This will see all participants receiving higher quality coaching, attract new members to the club, all of which will in time transfer into a much stronger football club for all.
Stage one of this change is via the rescheduled coaching course provided below.
U6-U8 MFA MiniRoos FREE Coaching Course – Monday 8th April – Wandarrah Reserve 6.00pm Start (rescheduled due to weather)
This is a free coaching course designed to introduce Mustang coaches to FFA training techniques.
The course covers many areas, including how to structure a training session, and setting season goals.
Please ensure that any attendees are registered prior to the night.
Link to registration page – https://education-ffa.sportingpulse.com/event.asp?ID=19484

Merchandise
The committee have taken delivery of all shorts and socks that were ordered, we are currently working on the actual collection date/time for participants. Once all paid items are collected, we will then work through fulfilment of remaining orders.
There are still a number of players, that have ordered items during registration and who have not paid. Can these payments please me finalised ASAP. Goods will not be supplied unless payment has been completed.
Again payments can be made via EFT to the following account, using your Surname as the reference number.
Account Name – Mt Annan Mustangs
BSB – 062656
Account – 10187435
Unfortunately we are still awaiting the delivery all other items, playing shirts/polos/hoodies. We anticipate to have a date for these shortly which will be relayed to all.

Let’s make season 2019 one to remember………

This can start by simply getting behind your club committee and offering your help. Most clubs run on assistance from their volunteers, without their help the clubs do not function and Mt Annan Mustangs is no exception.

Whether it be a coaching or managing role, simply assisting in setting up or pulling down fields, or spending 60 mins in the canteen, it all helps the team of volunteers to grow and your local club run smoothly.

So in 2019 lets all get behind and support YOUR local club………..the Mt Annan Mustangs
